Job Summary:

The New Business Launch Manager – Automotive function is the core of the Automotive group innovation. Resources tasked with this function should have the ability to multi-task and be able to handle many Projects at one time. The New Business Launch Manager must be able to work within all levels of the organization, have very strong internal and external communication skills and above average organizational skills. The Candidate must be able to delegate duties with clear and concise directions. The ideal Candidate will have a good understanding of engineering (both mechanical and industrial) disciplines, have strong print reading skills, and have a good understanding of basic manufacturing processes as they relate to the extrusion of aluminum. Resources in these positions should be highly proficient in training and coaching.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must be knowledgeable of all Safety and Quality Standards, specifically Automotive Core Tools and IATF 16949
• Must have above-average understanding of the steps to complete the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and shall be able to cite examples of such work
• Must be able handle multiple Projects at once
• Must have above-average communication skills
• Must be able to address issues with documentation, processes, requirements and / or other manufacturing or design concerns quickly with clear and concise communication
• This Position would be responsible for the communication and development of all Auto Programs to all levels within the organization
• Trains / Coaches Shop Floor Personnel: Supports learning organization initiative through daily teaching / coaching on the shop floor. Imparts technical knowledge of the process and reactionary logic based on process deviation observation.
• Oversees Process Development for new and existing Programs, with a focus on Product Safety and Compliance
• Works, in conjunction with the Quality Engineer - Automotive to complete internal investigations of customer claims / complaints and must be able to, after training, navigate Customer Portals
• Must be able to address, provide disposition and communicate on new business opportunities
• Must be able to actively participate in 3rd Party Audits
• Must be able to participate in Internal Audits

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent Certifications, in applicable field(s)
