Position Summary:

Headquartered in Aspen, Colorado, the former Molly Gibson Lodge is being redeveloped into a brand-new 68-key boutique hotel. Built on the grounds of the Molly Gibson Lodge at the foot of Aspen Mountain, we strive to tie nuanced Aspen history and culture in everything that we do. The Night Supervisor will develop and execute processes for all overnight operations at the property. In addition, this team member will develop and administer night audit procedures for HayMax Hotels.

Budgeted Wage Range: $24-$26 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the overnight operations team to ensure all job duties are completed appropriately
• Ensure that all financial and credit procedures are followed, follow up on credit discrepancies, review all pay-outs, rebates, petty cash disbursements and direct billings.
• Provide guest service support to Front Desk, Bell, and Public Areas as needed
• Partner with departments and managers across the hotel to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
• Train, develop, and motivate staff to meet and exceed established service standards
• Create and monitor processes to ensure ongoing guest experience improvement
• Take a leadership role in assisting guests with inquires, requests, and concerns
• Serve as Manager on Duty, when appropriate
• Answer inbound calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
• Monitor and maintain guest room inventory and availability
• Develop and maintain high levels of operational expertise within the hotel’s property management system
• Maintain up to date knowledge of the Aspen market, hotel amenities, and pricing/promotions
• Ensure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed by the overnight operations team
• Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to
• Review & research guest feedback from all areas of the hotel, provide actionable responses to guest concerns
• Conduct property walks to ensure all entry/exit points are secure and public spaces are presentable
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent guest service and problem resolution skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Multi-lingual Spanish, French, German, etc is a plus
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, and squat
• Occasional travel may be required
• No unusual physical demands are associated with this position

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related discipline preferred
• 1+ years of managerial within 4-5 star hotels is preferred
• Microsoft suite competency preferred

Effective dates: June/2023 – October/2023

Essential Functions:

• Develop Maestro PMS training and standard operating procedures for HayMax Hotels
• Facilitate remote/onsite Maestro trainings for Hotel Ketchum/Tamarack Lodge as needed
• Develop and administer night audit procedures for HayMax Hotels
• Support Hotel Ketchum/Tamarack Lodge/Aspen Mountain Lodge operations teams as needed
• Ensure a strong understanding of corporate financial and accounting processes and develop strategies to enhance PMS reporting efficiency and capabilities
• Create SQL reporting integrations with Maestro to streamline hotel operations
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
