Responsibilities:The primary purpose of the Nursing Assistant position is to be under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Under this supervision, she/he will provide direct patient care, perform simple nursing procedures, transport patients to tests and procedures, and contributes to the overall orderliness and cleanliness of the unit.
Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position. Applicants must be able to take temperatures, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and othersimple procedures where indicated. High school or equivalent certification program required. Graduate of a certified nursing assistant course or at least one (1) year experience in an acute care facility, or a nursing student who has completed one clinical rotation. Candidates with equivalent experience in a nursing (sub‐acute or long term) facility will be considered. Current CPR certification is required.
