About the role:
We are currently seeking a Support Technician to join our Information Facilities Team at our Twentymile Mine location. The Hourly Range for this position is between $27.99 and $34.33 depending on experience.
Reporting to the Technical Service Manager. The scope of your role will be to Assist Mine Manager in maintaining Crew Roosters. Oversee Man-camp Reservations and Cleaning Schedules. Assist Planners in Cost Analysis by Department. Assist HR Manager with Recruiting. Assist Safety Manager with keeping records current and compliant. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and to expand knowledge and skills.
Duties will include:
- Visibly support and champion Peabody’s Missions and Values
- Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System
- Adhere to Peabody’s Confidentiality policies in regard to both with whom employee information is discussed and by maintaining confidential information in appropriately locked filing cabinets.
- Maintain the Crew List in Excel. Coordinate crew assignments with Mine Manager, HR, Payroll, & Safety Departments.
- Maintain headcounts of onsite Nonemployee Contractors provided by third party vendors. Collect and coordinate the review and payment of timesheets for temporary labor. This will include working with the vendor to provide signed timecards, calculating the expected weekly invoices, confirmation of accuracy of invoices and provide assistance and communications with St. Louis shared services in the timely completion of the goods receipt and payment of associated invoices.
- Manage Man-camp reservations through booking software. Ensure that rooms are assigned according to schedule and within guidelines. Ensure that keycodes are generated and changed in accordance with guidelines. Create and distribute cleaning schedules to the appropriate vendors. Run reports to verify invoicing is correct.
- Assist Planners, Department Heads, and Accounting in Cost Analysis. Ensure coding, such as cost centers, material numbers, etc. is correct in SAP.
- Provide primary backup to the transportation role in processing daily coal shipments, reporting and sending manifests to customers.
- Enter, maintain, and file training certifications and records under the direction of Safety Manager
- Keep all training files up to date and ensure compliance with all part 48 requirements.
- Weekly report to Safety Department on all upcoming training.
- Compliance record keeping of all citations, dockets, and litigation documents.
- Record keeping Alsco, Boyko, Eyecare specialty invoices.
- Assist with updating all policies and procedures Safety Department
- Assist HR Manager with contacting Candidates sourced through Digital Marketing and Success factors. Complete phone interview & schedule zoom interviews with Hiring committee.
- Other duties as assigned

About you:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years relevant professional experience required
Physical requirements:
- Must have the ability to sit for up to 8 hours.
- Must have computer skills including Word and Excel and communicate effectively in various forms, including email and by phone.
- Must have the ability to review paper and electronic documents and complete computer entry of data from paper documents.
- Must be able to find, remove and return files to/from file cabinets and discuss issues by telephone and in person.
- Must be able to operate copier, fax machine, etc.
