Role Summary:

Responsible for monitoring operations, evaluating quality and performance, ensuring adherence to training requirements for in-sourced and outsourced employees and maintaining oversight on our reporting for operations



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work alongside outsource provider to monitor the performance of operations team and ensure adherence to training requirements.
  • Reviewing training materials and operating manuals produced by outsourcer striving for continuous improvement.
  • Compiling data for presentation to operational risk management and oversight committees
  • Identify and log potential risks, propose mitigating controls and actions, and work with Operations management to implement.
  • Develop and maintain excellent day to day relationships with stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for delivering a range of operational tasks and/or projects, working independently and with the wider team and outsource provider , producing results to agreed standards and deadlines.
  • Consider the interests of the customer in all operational activities, from new business, servicing existing business, supporting claim requests and in addressing complaints.
  • Ensure that operations activities are undertaken in strict compliance with regulatory obligations, including the principles and data security requirements underpinning GDPR.



REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Hold a relevant degree/Business Masters in a relevant discipline.
  • Ideally to have between 2 and 5 years ’ Business Operations experience , ideally within the Financial Service / Insurance sector .
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to challenge people effectively.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team to deliver on business objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong business analysis skills and understanding of the insurance industry.
