Our Manufacturing organization needs an individual with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail to ensure we understand our inventory position. This requires traditional cycle counting for monitoring inventory as well as processing material receipts, executing transfers and resolving other inventory related issues.

Role Overview:

The Operations Support Specialist role provides a wide variety of administrative and tactical support to the Operations team. Primarily, this position will monitor warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory as well as processing orders and reporting material usage. Duties also include miscellaneous stores/stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues. Split between office and floor activities is 50/50.

You should be able to already do the following:

• Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity
• Maintain product identification and location program
• Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them
• Responsible for completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
• Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis
• Process repeat orders
• Combine and print orders
• Create QR Codes
• Report material usage
• Utilize GP software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity
• Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
• Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark product displaying remaining product left.
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision.
• Publish weekly and quarterly inventory metrics
• Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)
