We're hiring an experienced Full-time Packaging Operator II to efficiently run our packaging equipment. This position is ideal for someone seeking advancement in leadership in a growing operation.

The Packaging Operator II is responsible for all aspects all packaging line equipment operation and troubleshooting. Independently works in all aspects of product packaging, including canning, pasteurization, cartoning, and packing orders. This person will operate, clean, and maintain the canning line and all other packaging equipment. They will keep a safe and clean work environment, and adhere to workplace safety standards. Ideal candidates have a strong sense of team spirit and are enthusiastic about expanding their knowledge in the field.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for leadership in performing all packaging functions, set-up, operation of machinery, troubleshooting, CIP, clean-up, organization, and cleanliness of all related cidery equipment.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot on the following but not limited to Twin Monkeys can filler, tunnel pasteurizer, all conveyance line and motors, depalletizer, and Switchback cartoner
• Display a working knowledge of mechanical and automated equipment and communicate effectively to address any issues or safety hazards
• Display an understanding of the cider making process with focus on crucial factors in packaged cider
• Maintain suggest improvements, and troubleshoot all packaging and cidery systems components. As well as maintain records and inventories associated with maintenance of equipment
• Assist when needed across departments.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and maintain and execute all functions according to policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practice
• Operate a forklift, scissor lift, powered pallet jack, and boiler system (certifications a plus)
• Other tasks as needed

What We're Looking For:
Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in food and beverage packaging, craft brewing strongly preferred
• Welding, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fabrication skills preferred
• Basic understanding of controls
• professionalism as defined by the ability to make deliberate, intentional decisions, and a desire to grow your competence and skills
• Understanding of motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, belts, hydraulics, cylinders, and chains, etc.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power, high/low voltage applications, drives, solenoids, RTD/Temperature control, PLC troubleshooting, HMIs etc.
• Understanding of basic fluid flow applications including pipe fitting, pumps, valves, pressures, flow rates, steam, compressed gas, and refrigerant distribution, etc.
• Forklift or mobile equipment experience required
• Valid Drivers License
• Must be 21 years or older

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.
• Be able to stand, twist, and bend as required for 90% of work schedule.
