General Purpose of the Position:
Maintains administrative files on all purchases, memorandums, contracts, personnel administration, inventories and all other matter related to Golf Course Maintenance. Ability to communicate with members, employees and vendors in a professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs general office tasks and minor executive duties to assist the Golf Course Superintendent such as, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing, assisting in the preparation of meetings, and maintaining department schedules.
- Handles miscellaneous, routine, or periodic reports for the Director of GCM and committees.
- Manages the ordering and maintains office supplies, first aid kits, cleaning and kitchen supplies for the Community Maintenance Facility.
- Acts in Supervisors absence, in handling member issues, assuring appropriate action is taken by the department.
- Handles or directs member issues generated by the hotline and creates any necessary work orders.
- Maintains administrative files on equipment inventory, purchases and processing purchase orders.
- Maintains and monitors payroll, PTO, and time clock records for the department.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, members, guests, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Responsible for direct contact with all levels of employees within the club. Must establish and maintain close working relationship with all departments.
- Conforms and follows all regulations, policies, procedures, and safety rules/guidelines of the department and the Club.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Two-year degree in related field plus 3 years’ relevant experience, or equivalent.
- Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Ability to work independently, conceptualize projects and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent computer, oral, written and customer service skills.
- Good organizational skills; well organized with proactive work style.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and works overtime when necessary (to meet a deadline).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
