Job Summary: Human Resources Generalist with a minimum of 4 years’ experience. Strong background in Employee Relations, a self-starter, with higher level HR responsibility providing manager support, recommendations and coaching. The role has a leadership task focus and not administrative task focus. Experience in Workday and with a large company are both helpful. As a People Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting the Civil External Supply Chain and Customer teams in the US. The People Partner will be expected to manage global relationship with the civil business and manage demand signal into the region for regional civil wide activity. You will be responsible for delivering the people strategy for the businesses in the US. You will have the opportunity to research, develop and implement the best HR solutions and new ideas across the company, as well as ensuring that we have a consistent approach, in policy and process across the region for Civil.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support the business leadership teams for the external supply chain and Customer teams within Civil Aerospace in setting the medium-term strategy and business plan, bringing HR insights to the process
  • Coach the business leadership teams in handling sensitive or complex HR issues and in their own personal development including meeting Rolls-Royce leadership expectations
  • Provide effective employee relations advice given the context the business area is working in while maintaining a positive employee relations environment across the assigned population
  • Bring challenge and perspective to the business agenda, particularly ensuring the development of the talent, performance enablement, leadership and D&I agendas for the businesses
  • Partner with the regional Civil Aerospace leadership to project workforce skills and growth to enable the development of a regional resource plan for all sites
  • Design and implement regional approaches in line with key business priorities that meet the needs of the US workforce and US legislation
  • Coach and develop senior leadership in the region to develop people strategies that align to the business needs and their short, medium and long term business goals
  • Act as the key interface with the Global Civil Aerospace business and Senior People Partners to ensure a consistent demand signal is received into the region.

Education Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in 7+ years of Human Resources and/or Labor Relations experience in Human Resources
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of Human Resources and/or Labor Relations experience in Human Resources
  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of Human Resources and/or Labor Relations experience in Human Resources
  • JD/PhD,
  • 9+ years of Human Resources and/or Labor Relations experience in Human Resources in lieu of a degree

Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources
  • Experience using Organization Development to enhance performance
  • Prior experience with business acquisition and integration, partnerships, process alignment and change management
  • Experience of operating within an HR Shared Service delivery model
  • Prior experience working with leadership across a multi-site operation
  • Workday experience
  • Experience managing employee relations cases, talent development and enabling culture change including driving diversity and inclusion
  • Experience working with a global team and / or in a highly matrixed environment
