*Seasonal* Physical Therapist (ESY)

Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:15pm

The Midland School, in North Branch (Somerset County) NJ, a private special education school serving developmentally disabled students aged 5 to 21 is an equal opportunity employer and is seeking candidates for the following position, part-time or full-time: Physical Therapist. This is a seasonal position - Candidates must be available from July 5 - August 15, 2023, full days 8:30 am - 3:15 pm for our ESY Program.

• Conducts accurate and thorough student examinations in the education environment using departmental format.
• Identifies Physical Therapy Diagnosis and Prognosis to direct appropriate plan of care for each student.
• Implements effective Procedural (Direct) Interventions for each student based on the results of the assessment process.
• Provides coordination, communication and documentation to support the student’s functional outcome(s) and program needs.
• Performs student related instruction to support the student’s functional outcome(s) and program needs.
• Provides consultative services within the organization and/or to outside agencies regarding environmental and/or service provision issues.
• Participates in educational programs intended to enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of others.
• Performs transdisciplinary roles to optimize student’s carryover of functional outcome(s) and program needs.
• Participates in department duties and responsibilities necessary to provide effective and efficient services.
• Participates in training and studies to enhance knowledge base in the specialty practice of Pediatrics and Developmental Disabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university required.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required.
• New Jersey Physical Therapy License required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67.22 per hour
