Position Title: Pipe Welder

Compensation: $33.08/Hour

Primary duties include:

• The Pipe Welder will be working in a pipe crew at a chemical manufacturing site. The crew typically works 10 hour days Monday thru Thursday but members must be available to work overtime on weekdays and weekends when required. The welders will be welding on piping systems, coded vessels and other mechanical work. This candidate will be a member of a 5 man pipe crew and jobs are typically assigned to teams of two from the crew. This pipe crew is part of the sites 15 person Construction crew. The site is located in a manufacturing facility in Front Royal, VA.
  
  MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  Include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
• Follow proper safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in an industrial environment working around solvents and chemicals.
• Be capable of working in confined spaces when required.
• Be capable of working at heights.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays, day before and after as needed.
• Be able to read and understand Piping and Instrument (P&I) drawings and isometric drawings.
• Must pass 6G welding certification test on Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel Piping
• Be able to help fabricate and fit piping.
• Be capable of fork lift and JCB lift operation. (We will provide training when required).
• No contact lenses allowed on site.
• Be willing to do other mechanical jobs other than pipe work. Will discuss at interview.
• POSITION SCOPE :
  The candidate will primarily work week days with four other On-Board Industrial Solutions Construction personnel. Will interface daily with plant Contract Coordinator, area Safety personnel and area operations and maintenance personnel.
  
  Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-year Pipe and/or Vessel repair welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Minimum 1 year Pipe fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• 
  Additional Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Able to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of and experience working in chemical process operations preferred
• Commitment to safety
• Communication skills
• Vessel code welding repair experience
