Essential Responsibilities:
- Review on a daily basis the work orders which present abnormal usage (material, labor, etc.).
- Close on a daily basis the work orders that are completed and investigate and analyze any significant manufacturing variances.
- Ensure the data in the ERP are complete and accurate and make adjustments where necessary.
- Prepare and review daily PL in order to track progress against budget for the month and verify proper classification of expenses across assigned location(s).
- Lead the month-end closing process including preparation of reporting files and presentations.
- Participate in formal monthly review meetings with manufacturing and finance management to discuss assigned location(s) performance.
- Perform periodic walkthroughs of the assigned location(s) with the Plant Manager to discuss production and costing issues.
- Review labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, and inventory levels.
- Review and compare STD cost set in the system with Actual, determine causes for delta and propose actions to be taken, if any.
- Support the creation of the AOP (annual operating budget) and update of monthly/quarterly forecasts.
- Oversee and maintain various analyses and account reconciliations.
- Monitor and track progress of approved CAPEX at assigned location(s).
- Obtain adequate information and prepare/submit CAPEX related forms.
- Help investigation in weekly/monthly dashboard of spending, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
- Support the CFO in other activities as necessary.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university.
· Hands-on experience of at least 3 years in a manufacturing company dealing with cost accounting required;
· Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint;
· QAD and/or Factivity experience a plus;
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Excellent communication skills, including well developed written, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation abilities.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
· Experience with calculating cost of goods sold.
· Understanding of design, development, and marketing quotes and prices.
· Ability to solve practical mathematical problems using spreadsheets, calculators, and collaborations with engineering and finance.
REASONING ABILITY:
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
