PIRATE COVE WATERFRONT RESORT – PREP COOK

PIRATE COVE RESORT is a multi-faceted, 800+ acre, five-star Resort and RV Park. The Resort is located on the Colorado River between Laughlin, Nevada and Lake Havasu, Arizona. The Resort is now hiring Prep Cooks for its spring, summer and fall seasons.

Candidates must have a passion for delivering an unprecedented guest experience through hospitality and the highest standards of food quality. The work is fast paced and the environment is upbeat.

Note, Pirate Cove is not a night club; we serve lunch and close no later than 6:00 PM.

Position requirements:

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meats, etc.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, etc.
• Follow recipe and presentation specifications.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
• Manual dexterity; able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure.
• Minimum 1 year cooking experience.
• High school diploma; training from a culinary school a plus.
• Clean driver’s license.
• San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Card.
• CA ABC Card.

Position in Full Time or Seasonal depending on experience and availability.

Pay Range $19.00 / Hour - $22.00 / Hour depending on experience.
