Prevention Specialist (Full-time)
Job description
SATUCI is looking for a team-oriented professional for full time work. Focus of work will be prevention of substance misuse and problem gambling serving Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama Counties. This position is housed in the main office in Marshalltown. Education requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in education or human services related field. Successful candidate will be a self-starter, possess strong computer, communication and presentation skills. Position will involve program development and educational programming with youth and adults in community, school and workplace settings. This position also includes teaching weekend OWI classes a few times a year. Will provide training. Comparative salary and benefit package. Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
Salary is based on years of experience and level of education.
Per Federal Guidelines, SATUCI staff are required to have or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
Other requirements include:
Obtain a Certified Prevention Specialist certification within 18 months of hire (training provided), Public speaking, Participation in community coalitions, Satisfactory background check, Valid driver’s license with own transportation and automobile insurance.
