Roles and Responsibilities
This role reports to the Site Sourcing Lead and will lead Indirect procurement activities for the Tullamore sites (Current and Greenfield) to ensure uninterrupted supply of quality materials and services in the most cost-effective manner & support start-up activities on the Greenfield site. This role will initially support the set-up of Indirect procurement facility at Tullamore inclusive of policies/procedures, supplier identification, set-up and execution.
Ensures that all Indirect Procurement activities are carried out in an ethical manner and in conformance with all Zoetis policies.
- An ideal candidate will have experience in the following Indirect spend categories- Sterile GMP facility cleaning and consumables, Gowning, MRO & Engineering services, Security, Landscaping, Waste management, Indirect laboratory and production consumable.
- Experience in developing and maintaining service level agreements for above categories would be preferred.
- Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into price, quality and delivery timeline to ensure continuity of supply.
- Lead the Indirect sourcing activities while supporting other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on Indirect sourcing processes, new projects and activities.
- Monitor and advice on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation.
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing contracts, and review cost reduction activities
- Work closely with cross functional teams to develop scope of work for various spend categories and thereafter continuous improvement opportunities.
- Negotiate, develop and improve contracts, pricing and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business saving utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Directly reports to the Site Sourcing Lead.
Experience in working with cross functional teams i.e. Finance, production, Quality, EHS, Legal and all functions that affect the supply base.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Science/ Engineering/ Business/ Supply chain preferred.
- Extensive experience (4+ years) within Procurement/Supply Chain in a manufacturing or engineering industry
- Experience on operating as part of a site cross-functional team in a GMP manufacturing environment and managing stakeholder relationships.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
- Analytical skillset capable of both identifying and quantifying cost savings
- An understanding of GMP and the Quality standards required in a Pharmaceuticals business
- Excellent oral communications, business writing and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills, including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. Procurement system (ERP/SAP) Experience would be an advantage.
- Relevant procurement experience i.e. experience of supplier management, negotiation skills and achieving measurable benefits.
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Travel percentage 5-10% to suppliers
- Role is based at Tullamore with Hybrid Model
- Able to communicate in English Oral/Written
- English (other additional languages) preferred
