The production leader will be accountable for the entire production process of our Dramix facility. They will be responsible for planning, organizing, and recommending strategies to ensure the product is developed in line with all specifications. In addition, they will be responsible for leading the team.

Key Objectives

• Meet or exceed metrics (SQDCPS targets) for a process area
• Walk the floor providing leadership, layered process audits, and coaching
• Ensure the process is functioning correctly through layered audits and discipline
• Manage production schedule and production planning
• Overall responsibility for the maintenance of the plant facility and equipment
• Floor Time - 50% or greater

Key Responsibilities

• Is accountable for the daily execution of the system in his/her area of responsibility
• Visible leadership and personal communication
• Responsible and accountable to budget across operational areas
• Process improvement (drive CI activities)
• Balance tactical and strategic responsibilities at world class expectation of 70/30 split
• Tactical includes spending time on the floor (e.g., layered audits, updates and participation to problem solving, safety walks) and meetings on critical areas
• Is responsible for resource deployment and coordination in his/her area of responsibility
• Holds people accountable to the process, systems, and results
• Assures attainment of business metrics
• Provides direction and supports Team Captains while building department competencies
• Is accountable for meeting or exceeding targets SQEDCP through people development
• Prioritizes maintenance resources
• Identifies technical training needs
• Driver of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and metrics
• Understands processes and help problem solving (hands-on)
• Responsible for people development
• Tactical mentoring, leadership and involvement on the shop floor with all levels of manufacturing personnel
• Stays connected with the pulse of the rotation groups
• Positive reinforcement for desired behaviors at all levels
