Job description
- Plan, oversee, direct, and coordinate multiple crews.
- Help with morning huddles to ensure team members are ready for the day.
- Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and positive attitude at all times.
- Conduct safety meetings as needed either onsite or at the shop.
- Training of all crew members on all maintenance equipment/ company standards and safety.
- Assist in enhancing training programs.
- Address and handle any maintenance concerns/problems with crew members.
- Hold all team members accountable.
- Coordinate all property visits and ensure work is to company standards.
- Mediate and correct all equipment problems.
- Inspect all vehicles/equipment weekly to ensure proper functioning.
- Provide quality control for maintenance properties and ensure properties are serviced to company standards.
- Adjust irrigation timers and minor irrigation repairs.
- Assist in Landscape Maintenance tasks when needed.
- Assist in Chemical Applications as needed.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of Landscape Maintenance experience.
- 3 years of Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader experience.
- Physically able to do tasks related to Landscape Maintenance (lift 50lbs).
- MUST be able to speak and converse in BOTH English and Spanish.
- Intermediate knowledge of landscape maintenance, plants, turf, flowers, ornamental grasses, weeds, pests, etc.
- Intermediate experience with landscape maintenance skills: mowing, fertilization, cleanup, edging, pest management, weed presentation, pruning, shrub care.
- Irrigation and Drainage knowledge.
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to fix/keep equipment running efficiently.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with no adverse marks.
- Working outside in the field daily.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Communication, skills- verbal, written and physical.
- People/Leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
- Accountable to their own actions and the ability to hold someone else accountable.
