Description:

Oregon Corrections Enterprises (OCE), has a full time opening for a Wood and Metal Manufacturing Production Supervisor working at OSP in Salem, Oregon. As a Production Supervisor you will work collaboratively as part of a team to provide supervision, coordination, and training of AIC (adults in custody) agents for wood and metal fabrication. The successful candidate will ensure a safe and secure work environment within the institution, following OCE and DOC rules and policies, and provide support and coordination of wood and metal businesses. The Production Supervisor should have the ability to interpret and understand oral and written instructions to effectively communicate with staff and AICs. This position offers a competitive compensation package including employer paid health, vision, dental, paid time off, and retirement through the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and 11 paid holidays per year.

Physical Requirements:

• Long periods of walking and standing on concrete floors
• Frequent lifting, pushing or pulling up to 1000 pounds with or without assistive devices
• Working in noisy environments and with chemicals
• May be required to travel and at times, be required to help with staffing needs at other OCE shops throughout the state

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three years of supervisory production experience (preferably in a wood and metal production setting).
• Pass an initial and annual Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal background check screening.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment.
