Organization: Jewish Family Service of San Diego

Department: Enhanced Care Management

Position Type: Full-Time (37.5+ hours/week), Non-Exempt

Work Setting: Hybrid

Reports To: Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports Program Manager

Pay Range: $21.33-$26.67/hour

Position Overview:

JFS is looking for a compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports team as the Program Data Coordinator. In this role, you have the opportunity to use your skills working with multiple computer programs, love for data management, and desire to work in a team environment to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across San Diego. The Program Data Coordinator plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by preparing monthly invoices, managing supporting documentation, managing systems for verifying participant eligibility, reviewing data quality in multiple systems, maintaining monthly reports, and monitoring monthly contracts performance. This position reports directly to the Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports Program Manager and works closely with the Resource and Housing Navigators and the rest of the Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate data quality and accuracy across multiple programs by analyzing records and reports
  • Manage data dashboard for internal tracking and reporting program statistics and progress
  • Prepare monthly invoices using a variety of data sources, manage all corresponding supporting documentation and assist with submitting invoices
  • Act as a primary data and reporting point person and interface regularly with Community Impacts department to maintain and recommend improvements to data management systems
  • Track fee for service program revenues in multiple programs and interface with accounting staff as-needed
  • Manage and preserve eligibility verification process for contract services
  • Support program data input and accuracy across multiple programs, as needed
  • Assist in preparing and submitting monthly reports and claims
  • Maintain close communication and coordination with other departments providing contract services
  • Support Manager and Program with oversight and staff training requirements and contract compliance items
  • Assist as needed with program participant follow up phone calls and related documentation
  • Support in client file maintenance, as needed
  • Assure case files and all client information remains confidential and secure
  • Support Program Manager and Program with special projects or other duties as needed

Skills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:

  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and client management software
  • Prior data input experience using Microsoft Excel and/or Efforts to Outcomes
  • Secondary degree or certificate with demonstrated experience in data management and research
  • Fluency in English
  • Comfort working in an environment that has multiple languages spoken and a diverse service population
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences present in the organization’s/program’s service population
  • At least two years of experience working in a data management support role to a team of staff
  • Superior organizational and data management skills
  • Ability to learn, utilize, and train others on new computer applications
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to analyze data and deal with complex problems involving several variables
  • Reliable, detail-oriented and initiates hard-work without being prompted

Skills/Abilities We’d Like You to Have:

  • Master’s or Advanced degree preferred
  • Bilingual and bicultural candidates (Spanish) preferred
  • Prior experience in the non-profit sector preferred
