Responsibilities:
Manages various small IT projects following the documented Iron Mountain PMO standards. As needed, assists IT Project and Program Managers on larger projects. Responsible for PMO status reporting as well as the support of process/procedural updates and training. Assists the PMO in maintaining and creating standards around process and reporting. Must be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Communicates with senior project manager or functional manager regarding status of specific projects.
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
- Assists in preparation, management, and execution of project plans
- Ensure that projects remain on schedule
- Coordination with multiple internal and external groups to secure project resources
- Manages project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project members
- Serves as focal point for and liaison between departments on project status or other project information
- Communicates written and oral project status updates to appropriate audience
- Responsible for financial compliance including forecast entry, resource management, and budget adherence
- Ownership of Risk and Issue Management including communication and mitigation plans
- Coordinates scope and requirements definition
- Ensures that all PMO standards are followed including but not limited to operational readiness, technical reviews, and gate reviews
- Bachelor’s degree or PMI certifications preferred
- 3 to 5 years experience administering functional areas or projects
- Project management/process experience
