Up to $1,500 be paid after successful completion of 90 days employment* (SIgn-on bonus prorated for PT employees).

$18.00 / hour with Bachelor's or CPRP.

RHD Glassport LTSR is a long-term structured residential program serving eligible adult males between the ages 18 to 65. Program residents are diagnsed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder. Residents also have a forensic history.

Psychiatric rehabilitation is the process of restoration of community functioning and well-being of an individual diagnosed with a mental health or emotional disorder. Psych rehab workers (PRW) will assist program residents with acquiring skills to support a successful transiton from the LTSR to the community by incorporating psychiatiric rehabilitation through modeling, practicing, and teaching of life skills.

Full-time ** evening shift (3p-11p) on a rotaing schedule, which includes some weekend days and holidays.

2 Part-time overnight weekend positions available (16-24 hours)

**FT benefit package includes 17 vacation days, 5 sick days and 12 paid holidays, with premium rate for working on holiday.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Assist program residents with completing activities of daily living - cooking, cleaning, laundry and other life skills
• Support residents' individual treatment goals through practicing, modeling and teaching.
• Facilitate daily psych rehab group activities for program residents
• Document daily shift notes and group notes within the electronic medical record system.
• Complete all other assigned tasks as designated by Psych Rehab Specialist and program leadership.

Required Experience

12 semester hours of college training in a mental health related field or

A high school diploma or equivalency and 6 months of formal training in mental health or a related field

Program Summary

RHD Glassport LTSR is a long-term structured residence serving 12 male residents with mental health needs, as they transition from inpatient hospitalization or incarceration to a community-based treatment program. All treatment services are provided in-house by clinical team. Our goal is to reduce recidivism by providing treatment services designed to support our residents in their mental health recovery. PR staff facilititate individual and group services to teach, model and practice life skills with our program residents to prepare for transition back to community living.
