Salary: €50k - €55k per year (DOE)

Purchasing & Warehouse Manager

A new opportunity for an experienced Purchasing & Warehouse Manager has arisen in Louth within the data analytics industry. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall aspects of purchasing and warehousing in developing strategies to support the company business strategy. You will lead a team of two, manage inventory and distribution, support continuous improvements and automate functions.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years mid-level management in purchasing/ supply chain, preferably having had previous people management experience. The ability to lead procurement processes using specific procurement methods and to analyse procurement and supply chain service requirements along with excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence others and strong analytical skills are essential to this role.

Responsibilities:

· Manage the entire process in the planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution, ensuring effectively functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.

· Setting and maintaining inventory levels

· Driving cost saving projects and new product recommendations to keep up with a constantly changing industry

· Taking an active role in the daily production meeting

· Supplier management while also leading and supporting your team

· General administration associate with the position

· Ensure priority requirements, timely delivery of goods, works and services using the most appropriate procurement procedures

· Be responsible for introducing process improvements in the supply chain and identify new suppliers without jeopardising quality and service delivery

· Manage and monitor all transactional procurement including tendering processes, evaluation, contracting, contract management

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement plans, and progress reports as required

Requirements:

· Minimum 6 years' experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance)

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills to persuade and influence others

· Strong analytical skills

· Focuses on impact and result for the client and responds positively to feedback

· Leads teams effectively and shows conflict resolution skills

· Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude

· Builds strong relationships with suppliers

· Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities
