QA Engineer

Location – Elk Grove Village, IL

Duration- 12 Months

Description:

• Need ALM/QC, a hands-on QA engineer who has had a lot of experience with SQL, API and ETL knowledge. This resource needs SQL, SOAP, UNIX.
• This position is for a senior tester who will interpret requirements and perform contextual business focused testing. The test analyst will work with the business analyst to build integration, regression, and functional tests. The candidate must exhibit testing concepts, strong communication skills and have flexibility to handle a dynamic work environment. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Need ALM/QC, lead QA''s

ALM/QC is Required. Some of our resources work on “S4” which uses SQL, SOAP; Some of our resources work on “Scoring” which does not use SQL nor SOAP. so SOAP is really good to have. And they prefer a Lead QA engineer who has had a lot of (EITHER) dev experience or deep exposure in their past.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents then translate them into functional level test requirements

- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test approach and estimate the test effort

- Document and prioritize test conditions and test scenarios

- Execute test cases in a formal testing environment to identify, log, and track defects

- Support data conditioning for E2E and other domain integration testing

- Test multiple projects at the same time and able to shift priorities

- Collaborate, communicate with different teams, and triage technical issues across teams

- Identify opportunities and implement changes to increase testing automation and testing depth

Qualification

- Knowledge of the Credit Card Industry

- Have a technical background working as a programmer or tester for more than 5 years

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, tools and processes.

- Strong working knowledge of UNIX command line, UNIX scripting

- Experience in webservices API testing (Using tools like SOAP UI/Postman)

- Strong with basic SQL queries to deal with backend testing

- Knowledge of ETL process

- Familiar with SAS language

- Experience working with mainframe systems

- Working knowledge of test management software tool like Microfocus ALM/Quality Center

- Strong communication skills with the ability to research, problem solve, and work independently

- BA/BS in a technical field

- Knowledge of Autosys or other job scheduler is a plus

- Experience with Credit Bureau attributes is a plus

- Experience building/enhancing/maintaining an automated regression test suite is a plus
