Optimize Recruitment are partnering with a manufacturing client in Kildare to recruit a Quality Assurance Specialist on a full-time, permanent basis. This role supports the QA function with the Management of Food Safety system for the site. The successful candidate will report directly to the QA and Safety Manager.

The successful individual will have the following:
- Degree in Quality, Food Science, or related discipline essential.
- 2+ years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Must have working knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and GMPs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience creating spreadsheets.
- Experience creating procedure documents.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and be process orientated.
- Must have able to prioritize responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Create and edit documents relating to production, quality, health, and safety including policies, SOPs, and forms.
- Act as administrator for the Document Management system.
- Ensure outdated or overdue for review documents are updated as required.
- Evaluate existing documentation for applicability, completeness, and compliance.
- Assist with internal and facility 3rd party audit requirements.
- Keep up to date with the regulatory requirements around documentation and implementing changes if necessary.
- Communicate with all departments to obtain needed information/documentation.
- Implement, monitor and review corrective actions, supporting the corrective and preventative action process.
- Train colleagues on the requirements around documentation.
- Any other duties as required.
