Indaver Ireland are undertaking a large Civil Engineering Project near Ennis in County Clare, the Project will involve the construction of Large Temporary Enclosures on Sheet piled foundations and the excavation and removal of over 100,000 tonnes of contaminated soil for remediation with specialised thermal treatment in mainland Europe.

This project is of a prestigious nature with significant Environmental and Health & Safety considerations being applied throughout the works.

The duration of the works is programmed for 4 years and offers excellent opportunity for experienced candidates seeking employment on a long-term project.

This role will involve the application of Quantity Surveying cost controls to a live construction project with outputs such as Cost reports, Payment applications, Assessments of subcontractor payment applications, recording and preparing costs for variations, pricing instructed variations and measuring contract and program defined cost and delay under NEC conditions of contract.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the work and allocations recorded on site vs the program from Subcontractors (validation)
  • Accurate records to protect Indaver against inaccurate claims from Subcontractors
  • Foresight to minimise any conflict with Subcontractors and Client Ensure records are being maintained
  • Meet deadlines for preparation and submission of payment applications
  • Update cashflow forecast and Work in Progress
  • Check Subcontractor payment applications
  • Liaise with Quality manager to ensure that project cost control mechanisms and KPI’s are being met.
  • Ensure ordering of materials is in line with project controls
  • Ensure commercial terms are being adhered to
  • Ensure responses are issued to commercial notices issued under the contract
  • Ensure budgets and cashflows are in line with forecast
  • Monitor H&S budgets and report on value of expenditure

Experience & Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to work in the EU. This position will not offer sponsorship for a visa
  • Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying, plus significant and relevant experience.
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in Construction of large scale technical investment projects of a Civil Engineering or heavy Construction nature or similar works on a Pharmaceutical site
  • Worked with NEC forms of contract
  • Worked with and applied CESMM
  • Thorough knowledge and relevant experience in the civil/construction industry.
  • Proficient at preparing reports
  • Specialist knowledge in their expert domain
  • Experience with contract program
  • English speaking
