Receiving & Distribution Coordinator

Starting Pay Rate: $17.73/hour
General Description: This position is a regular, full-time position working day shift, Monday through Friday and, as otherwise required, based upon the needs of the agency. Required to work during any natural or manmade disaster and/or emergency. The Receiving & Distribution Coordinator performs a variety of tasks, requiring knowledge of receiving and distribution of inventory and equipment management, to support effective and efficient operations of the Agency’s Financial Services Division.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the receiving and distribution of equipment, supplies, uniforms, and other agency issued items for all sworn law enforcement and non-sworn personnel
- Maintains spreadsheets for the tracking of all delivered shipments
- Receive and verify all shipments delivered to the Employee Distribution Center
- Responsible for general knowledge, education and management of all equipment issued by the Employee Distribution Center, to include all items issued with an expiration period
- Effectively learn and maintain our agency inventory software program WASP
- Routine office tasks including back up to the Purchasing Coordinator as needed
- Responsible for public speaking during citizen’s academy and the education of equipment to new and current employees during inventory issuance
- Assist employees entering the Employee Distribution Center for distribution and ordering of supplies
- All CCSO employees are considered ‘essential workers’ and are subject to working in any capacity/hours deemed necessary by the Agency during activations, including but not limited to, in-County and out-of-County deployments.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- One year of experience, within a logistics or supply division, of distribution, purchasing and/or inventory control job tasks required
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs used in modern accounting practices required
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve efficiently within time sensitive deadlines in a very face paced environment
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must have an understanding of inventory software programs
Physical Demands:
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. often
- Bend, kneel, squat, climb or stand for extended periods of time often
- Drive agency owned motor vehicle on occasion
Requirements:
- Valid Florida driver license required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or resident alien
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must not have tattoos on your hands, neck, or face
- Must not have used, tried, experimented or possessed ANY illegal controlled substance in the past 12 months
- Must not have used, tried, experimented or possessed ANY illegal controlled substance classified as a schedule I or II substance (excluding marijuana) in the last 5 years
