Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide all personnel and verbal facility contacts with prompt, curteous attention to their requests.

Essential Functions:

Attend work as scheduled and follow call-off procedures

Maintain an accurate resident census by name and room number

Maitain accurate list of emergency, reference, and key personnel telephone numbers

Follow verbal and written instructions

Type accurately

Operate facility paging and telephone system

Communicate and work cooperatively with all facility staff

Screen and direct all incoming calls appropriately

Enforce visitation policies and procedures

Screen all individuals coming into the facility and exercise good judgement in granting entrance

Handle all correspondence assigned

Observe all facility infection control procedures

Assume Quality Assurance duties as assigned

Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service provides

Qualifications/Skills/Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and at least 6 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements:

Standing (under1/3), walking (under 1/3), using hands to finger, handle or feel (over 2/3), reach with hands and arms (over 2/3), climb and balance (under 1/3), stoop, kneek (1/2-2/3), talk or hear (over 2/3), taste or smell (under 1/3).
