Don’t miss this opportunity to join our Medical/Surgical team! Black River Memorial Hospital has openings for a Flex Nurse RN, in our Med/Surg Department. The flex RN would be required to staff various departments including OB, ED, and Medical Surgical based on the organizational needs. Provides nursing care and service in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, current laws and regulations, and under the direction of medical staff.

The position available is:

• Full-time positions, 72 hours per pay period, various shifts, benefited with rotating weekends and holidays

Essential Duties Include:

• Provides individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient’s stay and documents according to established standards.
• Evaluates Obstetrics, Emergency Department, and Medical/Surgical patient assessments and responses to interventions and take appropriate action according to established standards.
• Evaluates the planned care for each patient continually by evaluating progress toward specific goals and making modifications to the plan of care assuring that the plan of care is always current.
• Competently manages adult medical emergencies (cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, etc.) and obstetric medical emergencies (prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery, uterine rupture, placental abruption, etc.)

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science, preferred
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Diploma RN.
• BLS and ACLS within 1- year.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Current licensed Wisconsin RN.
