Position Purpose
This position will aid in the pre-production, production, and post production research of animated documentary films, installations, and kinetic sculptures.

Required Qualifications
Education
  • BA/BFA Film Studies or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Skills & Knowledge
  • Skillsets in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (advanced skills), Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects 16mm capture, 16mm/digital workflows, working with primary and secondary research materials.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of experimental, independent, and artisanal film/video/media.
  • Interest or experience in neuroscience and the perception of cinema.
  • Experience in audio editing software (Pro Tools, Logic, Audacity, etc.) +/- Ableton Live is helpful but not necessary.

  • Assisting to create and maintain database and archive. (15%)
  • Assisting on animation capture sessions: planning, execution, and clean up. (15%)
  • Serving as liaison between projects and institutions. (20%)
  • Assisting with editing and proofreading fundraising applications. (15%)
  • Connecting with archives and museums to schedule capture sessions. (15%)
  • Traveling to capture animation at archives. (10%)
  • Conducting Pre Production and Production Research. (10%)
