Research Communications Specialist

Med-Orthopedic Surgery - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23002313)


The candidate will assist the Chair of Orthopaedics with communications in a variety of areas: professional correspondence, the department’s web presence, and in preparing grants, progress reports, and the development of other communications products supporting the Orthopaedics research and education missions. The incumbent will help produce presentations and departmental reports. This individual will also help support research initiatives, core research facilities, and the vice chairs of research, basic research, and clinical research. The candidate will also serve as an assistant to the Chair of Orthopaedics for special projects. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.

Master’s degree in relevant field with at least two years of experience is required, preferably with database and statistical software and/or IRB and GCP guidelines. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
