We are currently recruiting for a Reservations Agent to join our professional team at Beyond the Trees Avondale.
Located in Avondale Forest Park, Co. Wicklow, Beyond the Trees Avondale is a new world class visitor destination. It is a strategic partnership between Coillte, Fáilte Ireland & EAK Ireland. Avondale was once home of Charles Stewart Parnell and is considered the birthplace of Irish forestry.
On site there is a new visitor centre including the Seed Café, the Seed Store, Coillte Pavilion along with a 1.4km Treetop Walk & Viewing Tower visitor experience. A guided tour of the historic Avondale House will launch in Autumn, 2022.
This is a permanent role working 39 hours per week, Monday through Sunday availability Required. (November-Feb Set Days off as the site is closed 2 days a week).
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced tourism professional, passionate about customer service excellence to join our sales team. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will administer customer correspondence and provide support the reception team as required.
- To administer customer correspondence, in person, over the phone and by email in a professional, friendly and efficient manner
- Share information on the visitor experiences available and all amenities within Avondale Forest Park.
- To assist with all visitor ticket enquiries and to liaise with the booking provider
- To manage customer feedback in a timely manner
- To ensure that all sales opportunities are maximised
- To support the reception team as required
- To perform any other duties as may be reasonably requested by management from time to time
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years previous work experience in the tourism or hospitality industry
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Computer literacy, coupled with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent working knowledge of MS office packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience of working within a fast-paced office environment
- Reliable and flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Passionate about service excellence and customer care
- Professional approach, strong team player
- 3rd level qualification in tourism and hospitality management would be an advantage
