Position Summary

Responsible for the supervision of the restaurant when the Food and Beverage Manager is unavailable. Provide training to new employees. Respond to guest requests. Promote an atmosphere that ensures proactive, friendly, and efficient services for our Guests.

Pay: $18/hr

• Welcome and interact with guests
• Be able to explain and answer questions on all menu items
• Ensure all plates and drinks delivered to guests exceed their expectations.
• Follow-up with each guest after they’ve started their meal to ensure they have everything they need and are satisfied with their order.
• Work with the kitchen to ensure food service is timely, especially during high volumeperiods.
• If the guest has a concern/problem ensure they are completely satisfied and tell themanager so he/she can ensure guest satisfaction as well.
• Complete side work (i.e., rolling flatware) as assigned and in a timely manner.
• Ensure guests orders are correctly entered in to the Point of Sale system
• "Table touch" to ensure guest satisfaction is met and guests feel welcome and invited toreturn.
• If a guest has consumed too much alcohol or is disturbing other guests notify the managerimmediately to ease the situation.
• Makes menu suggestions and suggestively sells without overpowering the guests
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe work place environment.
• Maintains a clean, well-groomed appearance.
• Collects money from guests, makes change, and records transactions on guest receiptaccurately. Ensures charges and covers are correctly entered in to the Point of Sale system.
• Obtains guest signatures on room charges and credit vouchers. Completes accountingclosing procedures required by accounting department. Other
• Be in proper uniform, name badge and follow appearance guidelines. ?Follow proper key control procedure for issued keys.
• Remain aware of any and all potential security problems and report them to yourSupervisor and/or GM.
• Report any suspicious or unusual situations encountered while performing duties tosupervisor, GM or MOD.
• Follow emergency procedures, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), safety precautions andsafest work habits.
• Carry out any reasonable request by Management and Management Company.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Be knowledgeable about your Property’s layout, facilities and services so that you cananswer questions from guests
• Able to work a varied schedule including holidays, weekends and nights as the businessdictates
• Good communication skills
• Able to clearly communicate to employees, guests, vendors, Corporate Executives
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Meets all grooming and appearance standards ?Passionate about service and guest satisfaction
• Excellent eye contact
• Attention to detail- must ensure all plates and drinks are correct and well presented
• Excellent verbal communication, able to interact well with guests, other employees, andKitchen team
• Is over the age of 18 to serve alcohol

Experience and / or Education

• Food Handler Card
• At least 1 year experience in a full-service restaurant
• Continually reaches, bends, lifts, carries, stoops and wipes during entire shift
• Able to work a varied schedule including holidays, weekends and nights as the businessdictates
• Able to lift 50 pounds
