The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, St Thomas is seeking a new member for our team! We are a small business that prides ourselves in providing quality care to patients in our community. We are looking for friendly caring team members who share our passion to serve our patients and help them live a healthier life.

As a Pharmacy Retail Associate, you would be part of a collaborative team whose energy, creativity, and communication are valued. Since we are a fast paced, high service pharmacy, we are seeking someone who is self-motivated, a problem solver and flexible.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Processes retail sales using the POS system
• Greets customers with a smile and provides assistance happily
• Helping to keep shelves organized and clean and assisting with inventory.
• Professionally answers phone calls and inquiries from customers
• Participates in departmental meetings, in-services, and quality improvement programs
• Use discretion with confidential information and material
• Assists with rental orders
• Performs other duties as needed

Skills/Competencies:

• Excellent customer service Skills
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to do basic math and accurately manage cash register
• High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good telephone techniques.
• Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Retail/Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Healthcare Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

***Each applicant must do a background check at the police departmant and show proof of their criminal record at the interview.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear a mask since this is a high traffic healthcare business. Curbside pickup is available, common surfaces are sanitized regularly, etc.
