Risk & Advisory Services (FS) - Manager

As a Manager in our Financial Services team you will take responsibility for managing engagements directly with our clients. The role will involve providing both advisory and assurance services to leading organisations in the Financial Services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing clients’ compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and guidance in order to provide assurance that they are meeting their requirements
- Assisting clients in implementing change to meet their regulatory and compliance objectives
- Managing assignments, from planning through final reporting, to achieve clients’ goals
- Meeting deadlines for assigned projects and tasks
- Preparing formal reports and presentations
- Supporting business development initiatives, including proposal development
- Reviewing systems and processes with respect to leading practice and to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Managing stakeholder expectations throughout
- Overseeing the work of BDO team members and mentoring them in their careers
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- You will have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience of delivering projects in the banking, insurance or asset management sectors, or in a regulatory role in industry, or in a consulting role, with experience of this industry
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior staff
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills essential
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Third level qualification in a related field
- MBA or further studies desired
