POSITION INFORMATION

The Sales Consultant is responsible for understanding the features and benefits of all motor vehicles available for purchase and being able to communicate this information effectively to both current and potential customers.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

· Convert showroom visitors into customers by understanding their needs and interests, matching them to the most appropriate vehicle

· Understand the characteristics, capabilities, and features of all cars, and providing the potential customer with detailed information, including comparing different competitive models

· Take customers on test drives; demonstrating vehicle features

· Build rapport with potential customers to improve possibility of future sales

· Maintain customer database, providing continuous communication, follow-up and support

· Guide customers through buying process with clear communication and transparency, assisting with completing relevant paperwork

· Maintain reporting structures and recording sales and inventory on CRM software

· Collaborate with team members to reach sales targets

· Participate in sales trainings and meetings

· Assist with set up of showroom and promotional displays

· Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous automotive sales experience is a plus

· Ability to work flexible hours

· Professional appearance, friendly manner, and positive attitude

· Excellent customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication

· Strong interpersonal capability with drive to excel under pressure

· Ability to negotiate and be competitive while maintaining the customer’s best interests

· Valid driver’s license

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee may sit or stand eight or so hours per shift, frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, climb, operate a motor vehicle and requires use of both hands. At time there may be elevated noise levels and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals found in motor vehicle service departments. Employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions while working outside.
