Shifts:

• FT: Thursday to Sunday - 10pm-6am

Great indoor working conditions. Requires reliable personal transportation. Free medical benefits and attractive PTO at this site only. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with 32 BJ/SEIU NJ.

Some key responsibilities and qualifications:

- Manage visitors and contractors

- Follow all Emergency Response post orders

- Patrol, per requirements (see patrolling activities)

- Provide initial point of contact via telephone and for all site employees and visitors

- Respond to calls to the site both internal and external and direct these calls in a timely and efficient manner within the campus

Ideal candidates must:

• be customer service oriented

• be able to obtain a State Guard License in New Jersey or New York dependent upon the state in which you work
• have the ability to operate radio and telephone equipment, and console monitors
• be able to read, understand, follow, and communicate standard operating procedures and instructions

• agree to maintain our strict time and attendance standards

Job responsibilities include:

• displaying courtesy, respect and exceptional customer service to our customers, employees and visitors;
• overall responsibility of managing tenant and guest access to our client properties;
• performing a variety of safety, security, customer services, public relations duties, and related functions specific to the job location;
• providing the first line of response to emergencies and carrying out the policies and procedures of our customer’s Property Management;
• observing and reporting security issues and safety concerns as required;
• responding appropriately to fire command station signals and alarms;
• controlling access to our customer’s facility through admittance processes, and screening visitors and employees;
• monitoring entrances and exits, and acting to prevent unapproved or unauthorized entry;
• preparing logs or reports and other documents as required and/or requested;
• observing and reporting incidents or suspicious activity to customer representatives, Motivated Security management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by our customer.
• lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds
• working in various environments including conditions such as rain, cold, or heat
• maintaining a constant level of alertness and attention while working
