Job description

A company in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join the organization. This individual will be responsible for accurate and timely payments for goods and services in a high-volume environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process all accounts payable (A/P), expense reports, and receiving documents
• Match purchase orders with vendor/supplier invoices
• This includes coding, verifying and entering all approved invoices into accounting system
• Properly match invoices to documentation
• Review invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms
• Scanning all client related invoices into their respective billing files
• responsible for processing and reconciling the firms credit cards
• issuing rush checks on a daily basis
• process monthly payments for all other invoices
• Ensure that payments to vendors are made on a timely basis according to agreed terms
• Prepare, process and record A/P checks and wire transfers
• Perform data entry
• Review open A/P receipts and follow-up on all discrepancies
• Maintain A/P spreadsheets and reports on a weekly basis
• Answer all supplier inquires
• Issue 1099 forms

REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years of accounts payable experience
• Associates degree in Accounting or 4 plus years of relevant work experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables)
• Strong communication skills
• Strong time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
