Role Overview

• The successful person will serve as the voice of the apprenticeship services business unit and assist development teams in building software with the highest business and customer impact.
• They will represent business needs and priorities, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap, and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the single voice of the Apprenticeship Services unit in collaboration with the IT & Digital team at all stages of software development.
• Work with business stakeholders to define their vision and requirements, then work with technical colleagues to develop and deliver the solution
• Document existing systems, processes, and flows.
• Work on projects which look to streamline and improve processes, identify, and track benefits, or implement effective business change
• Partner with stakeholders, translating requirements into documented criteria and deliverables.
• Engaging with stakeholders to map and understand as-is systems and processes and map and document to-be systems and processes
• Work on creating or reshaping new offers and services for the apprenticeship system.
• Look for new opportunities for work within your projects and contribute to proposals
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, design, and implement the process improvements with technology products that will allow them to achieve their business goals
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure that any changes implemented will be successful for the client
• Manage projects using established project management practices.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, working as a subject matter expert across a broad range of business analysis elements
• Prior experience acting as Lead/Senior Business Analyst
• Be a natural leader and dynamic team player with the ability to manage, influence, and coach direct reports, peers, and external stakeholders
• Fantastic consulting skills – including facilitating workshops, solving complex problems, writing documents, delivering compelling messages, gaining trust, managing teams, working with uncertainty, and thinking on your feet.
• An understanding of digital technology and the opportunities it brings to our clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Effective at working to strict deadlines and managing a wide variety of tasks
• Ability to work proactively and independently to deliver high-quality and on time
