Senior Business Analyst-Hybrid
Zurich Insurance Plc are currently recruiting for the role of Senior Business Analyst. The role will be based in the Blackrock office.
The Senior Business Analyst leads and/or completes the elicitation of business requirements and their translation into solution requirements to ensure their implementation throughout the project life cycle. This role will generally involve the co-ordination of work of other Business Analysts to deliver the required deliverable OR will be a more technical role delivering multiple requirements as part of a moderate to large / high risk independent project.
Your Role
The Senior Business Analyst describes as-is/to-be models as part of the requirements elicitation process.
- They are able to adapt to and apply different delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, ZurichLean) .
- They plan, conduct facilitate elicitation onsite and virtual sessions and ensure production of associated deliverables.
- They understand customers' and/or Brokers’ objectives, processes and products in order to make recommendations.
- The Senior Business Analyst supports project managers and Scrum master including the day-to-day activities, risk assessment, project/Sprint scope and development of a high-level/sprint plan.
- They produce requirement specifications (Epics and User Stories) on Jira and outline solution design documents (where required) throughout the project life cycle, incorporating change requests and finalization of requirements documentation.
- They plan and follow-up on business analyst activities for the project/program.
- They should analyse and manage requirement risk, trace ability matrix and prioritize requirements.
- They support development of test plan, testing, implementation and training activities, and perform quality review checks on solution.
- They support post implementation activities including problem solving and measurement of benefits.
Technical Role/ Business System Analyst (Preferred)
- Perform research and interviews to determine IT business requirements and then translate such into specifications for technical projects
- Design innovative technical solutions for business challenges, carry out configuration changes as required, and ensure quality and performance
Your Skills & Experience
As a Senior Business Analyst your skills and qualifications will include:
Required
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and 8 or more years of experience in related field
Preferred
- General Insurance experience important
- AS400/ Iseries/i90 experience
- Technical IT Experience
- Migration project experience preferred
- Database knowledge
- Use of technical software such as Graylog (job logging software) and Sentinel (error/re-start software) etc
Additional Information
Primary work location is Blackrock based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
