SEH is currently searching for a talented Senior Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Water Engineering team! This position can be located in central to western Virginia, the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, or surrounding areas!

- Provide technical advice, lead projects and teams, manage client relationships and deliver profitable projects to grow our water/wastewater practice

What you’ll be doing:
- Project management, business development and client management
- Lead, manage and deliver projects of varying size and complexity
- Day-to-day project communication with client and project team
- Develop client relationships
- Grow our water/wastewater practice throughout central and western Virginia, the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina, and surrounding areas
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of VA or NC
- Ten (10) or more years of previous experience as Professional Engineer specializing in municipal water and/or wastewater planning, design and construction
- Minimum of five (5) years project management experience
- Knowledgeable of central Virginia and Piedmont Triad North Carolina water and/or wastewater issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base
- Previous experience in proposal and client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals
- Must be capable of scoping, budgeting, and coordinating sub-consultants; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must reside in central to western Virginia, the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina, or surrounding areas
- Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development excursions, on-site inspections/visits, etc
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Fifteen (15) years or more experience
- Previous experience with mid-large plant design
- Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff
- Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national water/wastewater societies and associations
- Knowledge and proficiency with software including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
