Are you a dynamic, forward thinking Senior Clinical Psychologist with a wealth of experience in the area of adult mental health?
Due to development and expansion, I am recruiting a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join a highly mental health hospital in the Dublin north region.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a very well-established acute adult mental health hospital with a brand new Specialist Rehabilitation service.
Summary
The post holder, as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team, is key to the effective treatment of all patients and residents admitted to the Clinic Acute General Adult Mental Health services and psychiatry of later life within the Hospital. A core part of the role will be providing psychological services to patients within a newly developed Specialist Rehabilitation Unit (SRU).
Role A fulltime, permanent position with on going training, supervision and growth opportunities. A truly exciting time to work with a service that provide excellent outcomes for it's patients.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A recognised University degree or diploma (QQI Level 8 equivalent) obtained with first or second-class honours in which psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject and 2)
- Postgraduate professional psychology qualification recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology as appropriate to the area of professional psychology in which the position is designated OR 2) B) postgraduate professional psychology qualification validated by the Department of Health and Children in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology as appropriate to the area of professional psychology in which the position is designated
- Min five years satisfactory postgraduate experience in professional psychology in which the position is designated.
- The five years' experience must comprise of no more than three years full time Post Graduate training and no less than two full years' experience as a Staff Grade Psychologist. Years more than the permitted three years for completion of the Post Graduate training or time not worked cannot be taken into consideration when assessing the five years' experience requirement.
