The role:
Due to our significant growth in recent years, we are seeking to recruit a Corporate Finance Qualified Senior who would work across all aspects of Corporate Finance. Unlike other Corporate Finance practices in Ireland, we offer the opportunity to work across all aspects of Corporate Finance including mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, valuations and finance raising.
The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join a dynamic team, working on a broad range of domestic and international transactions in the Deal Advisory space across various industries including TMT, healthcare, industrial/ manufacturing, hospitality and services. This role offers highly attractive career development and progression opportunities and provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to partake in executive level strategic decision-making transactions.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who possesses a high degree of commercial awareness, strong numerical and financial skills, attention to detail and ability to deliver against client deadlines. The role offers the opportunity for an individual to move into the Corporate Finance space and develop their skills in a professional service line that is at the centre of how a business operates.

Main responsibilities:
Working with senior Grant Thornton Corporate Finance team members in:
  • conducting detailed financial reviews and both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence assignments;
  • conducting in-depth market analysis across a wide range of industries;
  • preparing marketing material as part of sales process;
  • assisting with sale and purchase mandates, MBO and MBI assignments;
  • assisting with the preparation of valuation reports;
  • assisting with debt and equity raisings;
  • financial modelling;
  • report writing;
  • assisting in the preparation of Corporate Finance presentations and marketing initiatives; and
  • working with other deal team members across workstreams on live transactions.
Skills and attributes:
  • ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • previous experience in corporate finance, banking or audit department;
  • transactional services background advantageous;
  • strong IT skills, in particular Excel and Powerpoint;
  • excellent communication skills; and
  • driven self-starter who has the ability to work well within a team environment.
