The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics are in the exciting position of recruiting for the following posts in Adult Services:-

Grade: Senior Grade Dietitians

Contract Type: Permanent - full time or part time.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide an evidence based nutrition and dietetic service in keeping with best practice, to adults using St Michael's House services. Priority for dietetic input is given to adults with complex medical needs, in particular those who require nutrition support, including enteral tube feeding.
  • Deliver dietetic services in a number of settings including clinics, day and residential services, and home visits.
  • Work closely with a team of established Dietitians and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and report directly to the Dietitian Manager.

Essential Requirements:

  • BSc Human Nutrition and Diploma in Dietetics, OR an equivalent recognised qualification in clinical nutrition and dietetics, as approved by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU*.
  • Registered with Dietitian Registration Board, CORU.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills
  • Full clean driver's licence and access to own car.
  • If essential qualification(s) have not been obtained in the Republic of Ireland, candidates will require validation of appropriate qualification(s) by the Department of Health, where applicable, or by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with children or adults with disability.

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated pay scale, based on working a 35 hour week.

Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale.
