Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an experienced finance professional to join the Operations Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst to help support the World Wide Operations organization inclusive of hardware manufacturing/supply chain. We’re looking for a self-starter with strong analytical skills, an effective communicator, and a passionate leader looking to drive change in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Based in Santa Clara, this role will report to the Senior Manager, Operations Finance and will be primarily providing support as a business partner to the World-Wide Operations organization. This is currently an individual contributor role with future potential for expansion into team management.

Your Impact

• Develop understanding of the WW Operations organization and partner with them to align business and financial goals
• Shared ownership of the quarterly expense forecasting and annual planning process for World Wide Operations, including CAPEX and Rebates
• Drive accurate and timely forecasts, deliver detailed insight and visibility into expenses as well as provide meaningful commentary on actual vs forecast/plan variance
• Apply pipeline analytics on hardware demand to support S&OP process
• Identification and ongoing analysis of excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory along with potential excess liability positions within Supply Chain
• Perform analysis on warranty and other reserve requirements along with expense allocations
• Enhance and maintain reporting including monthly OPEX results, monthly Contract Manufacturer spend forecasts, quarterly business KPIs and Operations Finance QBRs
• Fulfill ad-hoc and regular requests from WW Operations and Corporate Finance

Your Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline or equivalent military experience required
• 3+ years related experience showing strong career progression
• Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, preferably with an understanding of hardware manufacturing or software
• Experience with and/or a willingness to master various financial systems, including SAP, BPC, Tableau, and other BI tools
• Ability to seamlessly pivot from big picture to details and back
• Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multi-task with the willingness to adapt to the rapid business and organizational demands that result from a high-growth environment
• Strong teammate with effective communication skills

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $90,600/yr to $146,650/yr.
