This is a hybrid position. The incumbent Senior ICT Designer will primarily work from home and work in our office, or at a client site, on an as-needed basis.

What You Will be Doing:
As a Senior ICT Designer, you will be taking ownership as a discipline leader on multiple projects. Your duties will include, but may not be limited to, working, and designing the following, low voltage systems:
  • Structured Cabling Systems (SCS)
  • Electronic Security Systems (ESS)
  • Audio Visual Systems (AVS)
  • Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
  • Emergency Responder Radio Coverage Systems (ERRCS)
  • Intercom
  • Master Clocks (wired and wireless)
  • Nurse Call Systems
  • Paging Systems
  • Wi-Fi Systems
To Qualify for Application:
The successful Senior ICT Designer candidate should be an experienced (8+ years) senior designer who is a solutions-oriented self-starter and team player with experience in the design of low voltage information and Communications Technology (ICT) Systems, including but not limited to:
  • Telecommunications pathways and spaces
  • Telecommunications Room Layouts
  • Inside and Outside plant cabling
  • Audiovisual systems assessments and designs incorporating controls and signal flow diagrams
  • Physical Security assessments and designs for both existing and new systems
  • Experience with various design phases (SD, DD, CD, CA, Closeout)
Candidate should be experienced in:
  • Resolving construction issues.
  • Responding to RFIs.
  • Updating drawings per architectural direction.
  • Drafting and tailoring specifications to meet project design requirements.
  • Reporting based on designs, and updating throughout project lifecycle.
  • Reviewing client-provided programming for incorporation into design approaches.
  • Interviewing owner/client department personnel to scope design requirements.
  • Documenting meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Articulating verbal and written narratives.
  • Performing site visits for the purpose of documenting as-built conditions, due diligence reports, and site observation reports throughout the project lifecycle in different phases.
  • Professional time management, managing multiple ICT projects and schedules concurrently to satisfactory deadline and milestone deliverables with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Utilizing good interpersonal skills inclusive of critical thinking, problem solving and strong analysis.
  • Active participation with the mentoring of junior team members and monthly ICT Team continuous improvement program to grow the team and discipline within the organization.
  • Coordination with other disciplines, including Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Ownership.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for assigned projects.

  • AVIXA/InfoComm Audio Visual Standards
  • ASIS International Electronic Security Systems Standards
  • BICSI TDMM
  • BICSI OSPDRM
  • TIA Standards
  • UL Standards
  • NEC Codes applicable to both, ICT systems and Life Safety
