About the Role
As a Principal Clinical Editor, you will be writing material from a variety of sources for the organization's online/digital platforms (including broadband and mobile). In accordance with the established editorial and style guidelines, serving as an expert within own function and discipline.
Responsibilities

Writing, editing, and updating clinical content for a digital point-of-care clinical decision resource.

Collaborating with commissioned physician authors and reviewers and critically review content they produce. Scientific and clinical accuracy and appropriateness, compliance with editorial policies and processes.

Ensuring that content is current and supported by the best available evidence in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine.

Collaborating with other Medical Editors, pharmacist and nursing editors, and other members of the editorial team.

Collaborating with other teams within Elsevier and specifically within the Clinical Solutions (e.g., Product, Commercial, Informatics, Marketing, Sales, etc.).

Participating in (workgroups, committees, collaboration groups) in thought leadership organizations within area of specialty is supported and encouraged.
Requirements
-
Experience as a Licensed physician (Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy) who has completed residency training. Five years clinical practice in the U.S.

Have foundation in the principles and application of evidence-based medicine. Including interpretation, critical appraisal and synthesizing the medical literature and clinical guidelines.

Experience in surveillance, interpretation, critical appraisal and synthesizing of the medical literature and clinical guidelines. Writing summaries of research findings, and in the application of evidence to clinical practice.

Experience in writing and editing clinical content and an ability to learn to use new editorial software applications.

Be able to occasionally travel to attend approved conferences, internal Elsevier meetings, or other meetings.
