We are looking for an individual that will be central to continually improving and enhancing the Salesforce platform for our organization. You will take ownership of technical aspects of our Salesforce implementation and its applications. You will work alongside our Developers (Salesforce and other teams), Product Owners and other stakeholders to drive creation of specifications based on requirements, validate the proposals, and deliver the solutions. The Senior Salesforce Software Engineer role is concerned with the activities needed to develop new solutions as well as maintain and improving the efficiency of existing applications.
The expectation of a Senior Salesforce Software Engineer will include:
- Drive highly visible Salesforce initiatives across the organization including building applications on the Force.com platform and supporting integrations with Salesforce.
- Taking ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
- Collaborating with the team to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits),
- Identifying and estimating technical requirements
- Salesforce configuration, integration, and code development
- Provide expertise in Salesforce design, testing, and deployment
- Documenting technical work
- Taking ownership of quality across all deliverables
- Designing solutions
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance our applications
- Develop Apex (classes and triggers) and Visualforce, (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce to support business requirements.
- Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write/maintain test classes for all custom development
- Participate in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design
- Manage individual project requirements, priorities, and deliverable timelines effectively
- Analyse code to find causes of errors and revise applications as needed
- Build technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Salesforce Development Experience, ideally some of this leading squads/teams
- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Experience platform
- Proficient in Apex, SQL, JavaScript, Visual Force, Aura Components and LWC
- Working knowledge of integration tools like GitHub, Gitlab etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve high-level software and application issues.
- Ability to project manage.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members and stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
