AECOM is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to be based in San Jose, CA. The position is open to remote work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts transportation and environmental planning on major transportation infrastructure projects.
• Prepares NEPA/CEQA Documentation and conducts analysis on major transportation infrastructure projects.
• Serve as subject matter expert on a variety of environmental resource topics, including leading and directing staff to perform analysis and prepare documentation.
• Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities.
• Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products.
• Staff advisor and consultant as to a technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Oversees specialized planning functions, such as large-scale environmental studies.
• Provides overall management of IE-related planning issues.
• Advises the Planning Director on all planning-related matters.
• Advises various councils, boards, commissions and elected officials in planning related issues
• Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities.
• Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Transportation Planning for urban transit systems
• Proficient with excel spreadsheets, word processing and standard office software
• Ability to work well in teams in an open office environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Data Analysis, including visual graphics
• Experience in NEPA/CEQA Environmentally Clearing Transportation Projects
• Experience with Capital Planning for Transit Projects

  Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $116,087.33 - $214,761.56.
