Job description

The Role:

The employee will be employed as a Service Engineer within our Customer Service department and will report to the Head of Customer Service.

Key Elements of the Role:

Provision of worldwide maintenance, service support for full range of products and services from Liebherr Customer Service

Provision of on-site support as required for planned and emergency repairs

Communication with customers on service and related matters

Support commissioning of cranes after installation at site

Testing and completion of handover formalities upon project completion

Completion of outstanding works after crane handover

Preparation and delivery of technical reports on project / job completion

Training of clients, employees, and apprentices both on-site and in-house

Provision of services to include crane refurbishment and maintenance contracts

Liaising with internal departments to eliminate faults and improve products

Checking of drawings and preparation of documentation for site

Repair and research of electrical / electronic modules and equipment

In-house crane testing as required prior to despatch

Work with Liebherr global network of Mixed Sales Companies (MSC) to promote and develop business opportunities

Support sales and project functions within the department and company to promote and develop business

Establish new and develop existing relationships with customers

Maintain a customer focused approach

Ensure quality, environmental and Health & Safety standards are always maintained

Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Quality Management

Any other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Competencies:

A recognised third level qualification or trade

Practical experience is an advantage

Highly motivated, dependable, and thorough and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational skills

Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build, manage and maintain relationships at all levels

Can prioritise tasks effectively on an ongoing basis to ensure that customer demands are met

Promotes cooperation - for the greater good of the company and the customer

Customer focused - meeting the needs of both internal & external customers

Demonstrates honesty, fairness and trustworthiness and follows through on commitments
