Responsibilities
The Embedded Software Architect will be a supporting software architecture decisions for some of the nation's most technically and important challenges with emphasis on aerospace and missiles GN&C applications for commercial and DoD. The candidate should have experience in real-time operating systems, middleware, and associated embedded processor technologies that support fault-tolerance, circumvention/recovery, and cybersecurity needs in developing secure and assured systems.
The candidates activities will include the full scope of the software development lifecycle, from architectural & functional software design to requirements analysis, software implementation, unit integration and test, platform integration and test, to software release. Experience with the following is essential: software development lifecycle, process, quality, and mission assurance; embedded Linux, RTOSs; processor architecture; embedded system design.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience in leadership for embedded systems applications.
- Track record with architectural characteristics of software systems.
- Task planning and leadership experience.
- Experience with commercial real-time operating systems such as: VxWorks, GHS Integrity, FreeRTOS.
- Experience developing real time systems using C, C++ or RUST
- Experience developing platform software.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing for multiprocessor systems including AMP and SMP
- Experience with Magic Draw is a plus
- Knowledge and experience in the design, coding and testing of guidance, navigation and control system software is a plus.
Security Requirement:
- Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Current possession of security clearance preferred.
